Weekend away in the UK {Rye}

Thursday 7 February 2013

We have gone and come back from our first long weekend away as a family and survived! After an obscene minimal amount of packing, a two-hour delay on the expected departure time, off we went to East Sussex. Our first day trip was to Rye, a small town which is in fact quite a popular with tourists. And it is easy to see why!

Just a warning if you plan this trip with a baby. Cobbles, small tea rooms and narrow streets do not go well with a pram.. Take your baby carrier - and you may be able to eat in one of the pretty cafes!

  5. Life with a baby presents unique challenges doesnt it :)
    Layout of stores, locating lifts vs stairs etc...
    But the location is lovely and snuggling with baby in a baby carrier is always fun.

  10. Again something no one tells you (or maybe they do and as expectant parent you don't believe them). Everything takes at least an hour longer once you have a baby.
    Lovely pictures.

  12. Rye is lovely - but not pram friendly. I'm glad you had a nice break - hope you found somewhere to eat!
