We have gone and come back from our first long weekend away as a family and survived! After an obscene minimal amount of packing, a two-hour delay on the expected departure time, off we went to East Sussex. Our first day trip was to Rye, a small town which is in fact quite a popular with tourists. And it is easy to see why!
Just a warning if you plan this trip with a baby. Cobbles, small tea rooms and narrow streets do not go well with a pram.. Take your baby carrier - and you may be able to eat in one of the pretty cafes!
