Charming LV {Quilting}

Wednesday, 6 February 2013

I have finally got a chance to use my low volume charm pack received as part of the LV swap organised by Rebecca Lynne. I have never done a quilt using charm squares - why oh why? It is perfect when time is limited, and you can achieve great contrast with a small number of colours - an it uses up some of the bigger scraps lying around.

This project will probably use up most of the charm squares I received as part of the swap. Some red squares will add some interest.

I am surprised at some of the low volume fabric choices - I was probably more conservative in my understanding of low volume fabric. It works though, so all good!

  3. I think there are quite of different opinions or ideas about what constitutes 'low volume'! No matter what you think, your quilt will be great!

  8. The combination of reds and the charms from the low volume swap look great. I was surprised at what other people felt low volume was. I was a little disappointed at some of the fabrics chosen, but I will find something to do with all those squares.
