Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the fireworks over the weekend (if you are in the UK). We had a great time at friends, and managed to sneak in a visit to Lewes. I wanted to go there for a while, I saw shops featured in my favourite magazines based there, and a house featured on the TV show Grand Designs. I saw neither the shops nor the house, but we still had a great time building new memories for Baby MiH and us.
Baby MiH was happy to go along with it (you will see some pictures of him tomorrow) because we were visiting more friends afterwards. I am wondering whether he is not bored of us at the moment. You should see how excited he is about spending an evening with his grand-parents rather than us. Maybe it is too much attention, and he is not used to it anymore.
Anyway if you are based in the UK, and have not been, it is totally worth a visit. I found it quite calming as a town but big enough to keep me interested. We will probably do more of these one-night trips, what do you recommend we visit next?
look at all those pretty doors and buildings! Looks so lovely. And I love his little hat!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Lewes but it looks so pretty! My hometown of Warwick is lovely, as is neighbouring Stratford Upon Avon - just up the M1 from you! Baby MiH is looking completely edible in his beanie as was your breakfast in IG ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love the stately and colorful doors. I wanna steal his beanie! I'm glad you got away.
ReplyDeleteThe scenery looks incredible. I love the cobble stones and the brightly painted doors.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos! If I had to pick a favourite, it would be the one of the window stacked with books and the teddy bears peeking out! BabyMiH looks cosy in his chunky beanie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming town! I love the way you captured the design elements in your pictures. The beanie looks amazing, too.. That texture and yarn!
ReplyDeleteYou caught some really neat photos. The window filled with books intrigues me.
ReplyDeleteThose old buildings make my heart swoon. Glad for new memories ; )
ReplyDeleteI live very near Lewes and it is indeed lovely (although the Parking Wardens are very very vigilant - scarily so!). Rye is also lovely - smaller than Lewes but ideal for a one night getaway.
