Confetti stitch {Knitting}

Wednesday 5 June 2013

Still working on the Pull Isa - I checked and the measurements should be ok - well I fit into it, it is fitted, but that is what I wanted, and blocking may help as well.

Check out my new mug

I have a project (yes another one) on the go that involves pride and prejudice, and I thought it might an opportunity to actually read the book - and get better acquainted with Mr Darcy - and provide the best excuse to watch Colin Firth in a wet shirt - link here...

I thought you might be interested in the confetti stitch - the perfect stitch for summer tops.

Multiple of 4+2

Rows 2 and 4: Purl all stitches
Row 3: K1 *SL 1, K2tog, PSSO, YO, K1, YO* K1

Repeat these four rows for the pattern. Easy right!

  1. I like seeing what you are reading while knitting. I know you are a lifelong knitter, and have more practice, but I can't wait to be able to do it too. I can even mess up stockinette if I try to read, ha!

  2. I absolutely love Pride and Prejudice. I watched the movies before reading the book, but finally read it a couple years ago. I think because I loved the movies so much it was a little easier to read such old writing. I was just thinking yesterday that I should read it again, maybe this afternoon I will start :-)

  7. What a cool stitch! I'd love to try it.
    I love Pride and Prejudice, but I've only watched the movie with Keira Knightley... I'm intrigued to watch Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy.

  9. I love this project. Is it only in French?
    I haven't seen the Colin Firth version. I saw the P&P movie with Keira Knightley before reading the book. I liked the movie so much more, maybe b/c during their time their conversations were so darn wordy and I thought I talked a lot, LOL. I think I need to listen to the audio book.
