Progress

Wednesday, 15 August 2012

A lot decisions have been made for this WIP Wednesday, and this is the hardest part of any project for me.

However I did finish the passport wallet. A specific post will be appearing this week with a review of the pattern, but you now have an idea of what it looks like - I am hoping to find the third passport for a picture as well, so it looks a bit less empty.

I made some progress on the Reversible bag. I needed to work out which style I was going for, I tried different styles for the bi-colour theme, and I think I like the bottom option better (using piping for the first time). What do you think? Hopefully that should be finished this week as well...

I have now signed up to the Totally Groovy QAL that is lead by Pile O'Fabric. Yes, a QAL seems to be the only way for me to finish a quilt. I chose the crib size as it is meant for the baby's room - probably for the crib first, and then to be hung on the wall. I finally established the colour scheme. It is THE opportunity to de-stash (my hobby room IS in fact the baby room). Mr MiH sort of approved. The pattern recommends solid colours, I will use one solid colour and other fabrics will be patterned fabric... It should work fine, but just in case it is a small size.

Finally the knitted cream buttery blanket, which should have been done by beginning of June (Mother's Day in France)... Well it is not finished, and it is her birthday party next week, and I am hoping to give it to her then - yep, I am cutting it fine as per usual, I must love knitting under pressure. I will post the pattern soon. I am also linking this project to Tami's Amis blog

Phew! That is it, a bit of knitting, sewing, quilting.. And this Saturday I am off to the Festival of Quilts, which means more inspiration. I will be going with Lucy - just find two pregnant women together and you know you found me!
