Burlap {Found and cross-stitched}

Thursday, 22 November 2012

The great thing about moving things around room is that sometimes you find things that were totally forgotten - like a piece of burlap fabric. In fact I had been looking for a rustic-looking fabric for one of my cross-stitch projects for a while and this piece of fabric is perfect - in terms of colour and texture (so much easier to cross-stitch than linen).

The pattern and the colour work are based on a couple of patterns I have collected. I wanted a retro look but that would still look modern.

It actually took me a while to match the colours, but the start of the project is worth it.

It is a small project, so it should on the way to its recipient quite soon! I am hoping to share soon.

Edit the pattern is now available
